Asleep,Awake
Real,Fake
Late Night,Early morning
Birthday Celebrations,Early Warning
Rooted,Floating
Sugar Coating
Convinced,Not Sure
Future,Has No Cure
Bold , Meek
Strong ,Weak
Grown Up,Not in the Head
Self Assured,Still being Led
Precious Junk
Blue Funk
Almost there,Not quiet
Applause,Stage fright
Still edgy,Still Lost
Haven't quiet recovered the cost
Still pushed ,Still shoved
Still spurned,Still Loved
Whilst u blogger types say nasty things about this matchless piece of literature.I am off to pune...Yippeeeeeeeeeee...Take Care everyone,I hope u r still arnd when I come back...Even I need some kind of an audience howsoever dimwitted it might be....

Sorry people ,Indo Pak Match and my own personal demons kept me from completing the post. And I shall not bore you with all the questions they asked.Just sample this, and all this to a computer engineer who doesn't know the difference between Bill Gates and India Gate....
1.Why do you think TT and volleyball are not as popular as cricket. Also give a real life example..
2.What is the meaning of the term market share?
3.How do u rate urself as a student?
4.Since you say ur so focussed ,tell us what do u know about this course?
This is where the fun began ,since i didn't know shit.
5.Tell us the subjects we teach in this course
6.What are labour reforms?
7.What are labour commissions?
8.Explain the statement"Woking in India is concurrent with labour".This was sheer genius.I was just a step away from showing him the finger at this point.
9.Do you know about reforms in any other sector?
I said Power and when I said Banking I swear to God he looked as if he had seen his mom naked...
He went on to prove that I didn't know what reforms meant.I interjected with long moronic stares and a very profound silence.
The last question got the cake though:
10.So if you donot make it to any MBA institutes this year what would you do?
What a thinly veiled attempt at outright rejection?God bless their tact and subtlety...
So Bye Bye Miss Xlri
Drove my chevy to the levy
but the levy was dry
Them really old guys almost made me cry
So this will be the day when I die.........
And this will be the day when I die

"My house maybe burnt but atleast I can see the sky"
All my life I've been singularly reluctant of taking inspiration from anybody or anyone.I would always be scared of trying to become like the person in question. It seems awfully amusing at times though, looking at the nice mess I have gotten myself into.
But a few days back I came across the first chapter from Lance Armstrong's new book. The title of this post is as you might have guessed also the title of the book. Also the quote in the first line from a surviving cancer victim. The book might be fascinating to say the least but the Man himself is a colossus. To the uninitiated,Lance is the captain of the USTA bicycle team and has won a record breaking 6 Tour de France titles on the trot. The most gruelling sporting event in the world.
What makes this man ,more man than most is the fact that he was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the age of 25.Right at the peak of his career. He says that he just woke up one day in the year 1996 and was told that he had cancer.I mean ,in a single instant the world comes crashing down upon you and you don't even hear a thing. If I had been writing on paper just now ,I would have had a huge pile of crumpled balls of paper lying around me(just like in the movies) trying to put into words how he'd have felt at the time.I cannot, words just fail me.Forgive me here coz
I forgot to mention another piece of trivia, his long standing marriage also failed in the meantime.
He underwent four advanced stages of chemotherapy ,got up dusted off ,rolled up his sleeves and did the thing he knew best.Hit the road on his bike.He won his first title in the year 1999 and then went ahead and won some more.He even named his cat Chemo to stamp his total ascendancy over adversity.Another heartening thing I read him saying was he called FAME an isotope, destroying evrything with radioactivity in its vicinity.
Suddenly aren't all the piffling heartbreaks and trifling failures put into perspective?A little hurt here a little more there but life still goes on doesn't it?Maybe we should have paid a little more attention to what Tim Robbins was saying in Shawshank Redemption "Get busy living or get busy dying".I wish they would make a new religion called RESILIENCE.I would finally have a God.

To be very honest,of late I've been absolutely disillusioned with the blog world.Blogging might be a lot of things but its certainly not that exciting when it is all that you do.Wonder if any of you have felt this way during your long and illustrious blogging tenures?
After the initial excitement it has become more of a device for affirmation than anything else.Put up a post and wait for the world to take out the time and go through what you have most
recently done with the alphabet. It is not exactly a nice feeling when your social life has also become digital.Where is the flesh and the blood and why have 1's and zeroes taken their place?
And yet, here I am putting up a new post and hoping that it gets read by more people than Times Of India and Hindustan Times put together. Moreover to ensure the same I'd also be doing a Blogroll
and leaving imprints so that if not all but atleast a few people visit my blog too.Even if it is out of a sense of barter and nothing else.Wonder what is at the bottom of all this?
My guess is affirmation, how about you?

There's been a lot happening in the past few weeks.Had a few exams ,got a few results. There was the BIRTHDAY last week and then there was the official hormone surging day on the 14th of FEB.Also there's been a lot happening around me too.Indo-Pak jamboree, bird flu et al.All through this, there has been a particular gentleman who has been slowly and surely creeping into my head with his penchant for sheer arbitrariness.Mr Murli Manohar Joshi has done what so many of them couldn't in a long long time. He's deftly pierced through my veneer of total apathy and nonchalance towards politics and politicians.
I mean whats the matter with that buffoon ? First he wants to introduce astrology as a post graduate subject in universities, then he wants to saffronise the history books. Then he wants to convolute and distort history beyond recognition, and since all this didn't evoke complete loathing from the masses,he picks up his shovel and digs the grave for CAT.Wonder if this is what the epitaph would read like :"Here lies the brilliance that dared to challenge mediocrity".I know the topic is close to my heart but I am sure there are millions out there who have beenequally aggrieved.
So how many of you have come across people who tried to cover their very apparent shortcomings and inadequacies by being absolutely unreasonable and vindictive.I coming from a rather mediocre engineering college with an even more insipid staff has seen it at very close quarters.Profs who were the most incompetent were also the ones who were most stringent about attendance.Who would derive a sadistic kick out of making students grovel and beg.Who would let you get away with murder if u sucked up to them.Does that ring a bell anybody?
Well thats exactly what this impotent, chhoti wala ,mother#$%^&,sister#$%^&,wholefamily^&*@$ reminds me of..
May earth be soon rid of him and his ilk.Amen..(Yaar post thoda lamba ho gaya na?....)

Its her birthday today.I spoke to her last night but left a few things unsaid.I called up again today and still didn't say them.Something tells me I will call again before night and for many more nights and always leave that lil something unsaid. All I want to do is hear her so happy and excited, today, everyday.
I wanted to be the first one to call her.I wanted her to wish that I would be the first one to call.I wanted her to wake up in the morning surrounded by the reddest of roses whispering into her ears.I wanted her to know where the rose came from without anyone telling her.I didn't send the roses,I knew that she would know.
Have you ever been so happy that it made you sad?
